About Goal Line Technology

 

 

Goal Line technology is a means of instantly determining whether or not the whole of the ball has crossed the goal-line. Contrary to popular belief, the technology itself does not make the decision as it is only meant to assist the officials in decision making-however, the officials are allowed to over rule any decision made by the technology. The International Football Association Board voted unanimously in favour of introducing the technology, leaving it up to individual associations to decide whether to implement it into their respective competitions.
